1952 Georgia Tech Football - A Perfect Season
Grandaddy was 34 that year. Crazy. They didn’t lose a single game and they won the Sugar Bowl, but they split the National Championship with Michigan State, who was voted number 1 by the AP and Coaches poll. Worth noting Michigan State was also undefeated, but they were 9-0 to Tech’s 12-0.
The St. Pete Shuffleboard Club turns 90 years old today. The oldest and largest Shuffleboard Club in the world is still one of the coolest places to be on a Friday night. Pictures are from their Facebook page, which you should absolutely go ‘like’ right now.
Here’s a cool picture. This is a shot of the 1943 Steagles starting lineup. Due to the war NFL teams were temporarily combined because of the lack of players. That’s my grandfather at center, #52.
