A University of Florida freshman named Christian Aguilar has sadly gone missing. Here’s an article about him and here’s an indiegogo page collecting money to help his family out while they search. I don’t know Christian except that he was a CH fan who we made a happy birthday video for a few years ago. The same friend who asked for the video emailed to tell me about this and ask for help spreading the word. Take a second to read the article and check out his picture.

Was out walking the dogs last night and this super-friendly girl followed us home. No microchip, no collar. Last week artist Tracey Dear lit up 5 Tampa bridges in a project titled Agua Luces. Backed by Mayor Bob Buchorn, Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas, and the Lights On Tampa Committee, this will be a permanent fixture to the City of Tampa. When the installation is complete, 9 bridges will be lit in total.

Hell yes. Damion Suomi an the Minor Prophets are a band you should be listening to. If you’re in the St. Pete area, come see them at Antiwarpt.  

That was hands-down the WORST theater experience of my life.

They started by playing the same version of Frankenstein they had played the night before. After about 15 minutes, we come to discover they had played the wrong version the night before. About half of us had been there the night before and wanted to see the other version, the other half had paid for just tonight and wanted to see the version they were expecting.

They decided to continue with the unaired version and offered 2 free passes to anyone who wanted to leave. No one did. We picked back up about 10 minutes into the play. They left the theater doors open for another 20 minutes, with staff coming and going, and talking. Loudly. Finally they closed the doors and we got to get into the play. 

Then, with about 10 minutes left in the play, the video cut out. The audio kept playing. Someone went to get the manager and I just walked out. They can’t play it again and there was no offer to give us our money back. I’ll be calling tomorrow to request a refund, but in the meantime, holy shit am I pissed. I just wanted to see the damn play.

Sweat Records in Miami… AND if you are an Iggy Pop fan he will be there as official ambassador for their Sweatstock event.. He’s a long time resident of Miami and April 21st is also his birthday. Many of my favorite local bands will be performing like Shroudeater , Arboles Libres and Trish,the former drummer of my band Angry Pudding, will be singing with Severe Disappointments.

This will be a a great day to stock up on vinyl and enjoy the South Florida music scene.

In the Tampa/St. Pete area, both Mojo and Daddy Kool are going all-out once again!
